Recent Experience

Google

Oct 2024 – May 2026

Contributed to Google Wallet's migration from Material 3 to Material 3 Expressive. Defined component patterns and theming guidelines now used across the product.
Built and documented Google Wallet's Figma component library with the design team, covering Variables, Auto Layout, and Token Studio. 30+ designers use it daily.
Designed and built the Form-of-Payment (FOP) Row, one of the more complex components in the Google Wallet design system, with a wide range of variants and states.
Built an AI tool that drafts component guidelines and accessibility specs for 40 components. Documentation coverage went from 15% to 100%, and per-release documentation time dropped by half.

Pluto TV

Aug 2023 – Sep 2024

Refactored Pluto TV's Nitro Design System across 6 platforms: web, iOS, Android, tvOS, Roku, and Smart TV. Cut redundant design work by 30%.
Built a W3C/DTCG-aligned design token system that gave all 6 platforms one source of truth for design and code.
Designed and facilitated design token workshops for 50+ designers and engineers, which grew adoption of the new token system across the org.

Cisco

May 2023 – Sep 2023

Designed, built, and documented a production navigation component for Cisco's Magnetic Design System.
Worked with engineering on component specs, interaction patterns, and handoff standards so Magnetic stayed consistent across products.

City National Bank

Nov 2022 – Mar 2023

Led a color system redesign to WCAG 2.1 AA compliance across all products. Cleared accessibility debt for 15+ applications.
Audited the design system across products and found 12 ways to improve design-to-code handoff and team workflows.

First American

Mar 2021 – Nov 2022

Inherited an unmanaged design system and grew it into Ignite, a Figma component library backed by Angular production code with Storybook. It became First American's standard for design-to-code handoff.
Designed a color system with algorithmically generated accessible pairings, then expanded the palette from 8 to 40+ hues while holding WCAG 2.1 AA contrast.
Built design token infrastructure with Style Dictionary to automate token distribution for web.
Built an automated component packaging and versioning pipeline that cut release cycles from hours to minutes.

Boulevard

Sep 2019 – Feb 2021

Founded BLVD UI, Boulevard's first design system, and set the design and engineering standards the product org adopted.
Defined Boulevard's design token strategy and multi-theme architecture, which made cross-platform theming and consistent branding possible.
Grew design system adoption through documentation, workshops, and open office hours, and design-engineering velocity improved as it spread.
